Europa League schedule announced
Manchester United’s European schedule has been confirmed by UEFA, after we learned the identity of our opponents in the new-look Europa League on Friday.
United’s initial fixtures in the competition will now form part of a league phase, in which we’ll face eight different sides – four at home and four away.
Our continental campaign will begin on Wednesday 25 September, when we welcome FC Twente - Erik ten Hag's boyhood team - to Old Trafford, at 20:00 BST.
The second league phase fixture comes just a week later, with the Estadio do Dragao playing host to a reunion with FC Porto - who we famously played in Champions League knockout ties in 1997, 2004 and 2009 - on Thursday 3 October.

Following the October international break, another trip to the continent is in store, when we play Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho and with Fred and Sofyan Amrabat in their squad, on Thursday 24 October.
Both those away games are 20:00 BST kick-offs.
PAOK and Bodo/Glimt visit Old Trafford for the first time in November.
The Greek champions come to town on Thursday 7 November, while the Norwegians - from a town inside the Arctic Circle - are in M16 on Thursday 28 November, and both fixtures get under way at 20:00 GMT.
Our final European fixture of 2024 sees us journey to Czech Republic, for a maiden competitive meeting with Viktoria Plzen, on Thursday 12 December. This is the only 'early' kick-off on our slate, starting at 17:45 GMT.
Unlike in previous seasons, European group fixtures will continue into the new year.
