United fans send good luck messages ahead of Carabao Cup final

The 16:30 GMT kick-off is the first time United will be appearing in the final of the competition since 2017, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s heroics inspired us to a 3-2 win against Southampton.

We are now seeking a first taste of silverware during Erik ten Hag's reign as manager, and how he and his players would love to cap the encouraging start to the campaign by winning our first trophy since the 2017 Europa League.

It’s also our first trip to Wembley since the FA Cup semi-final of the 2019/20 campaign, and we can be sure that our passionate fans will be travelling in their numbers to watch the Reds at the iconic stadium.

Ahead of Sunday’s showdown, United supporters have been delivering their rallying cries for our players, and you can watch some of the best below.

One fan placed ultimate faith in the Reds, commenting: “Come on, lads! You’ve got this. I believe in you. You’ve got the confidence, you’ve got the manager, come on United! Let’s win this final.”

Another supporter issued a call for United to bring back the goods, adding: “All I want to say is good luck to Manchester United, hope you have a good game. Be strong out there, let’s bring it home.”

We also had other backers who were full of confidence ahead of the final, as another fan said: “We know you’re going to smash it, guys. Come on!”

While Wembley will be packed out with travelling Reds, and with fans up and down the country undoubtedly tuning in from home too, we can also be sure there will be countless other supporters around the world willing the Reds onto Carabao Cup glory.

“The best wishes for all the players from Brazil,” was the message of another fan, exemplifying the extent of our brilliant worldwide support.
