Manchester United Foundation – the associated charity of Manchester United – is today celebrating its 16th birthday!

The Foundation has been carrying out vital community work across Greater Manchester since 2007, enriching the lives of young people in the region.

The Foundation aims to engage, inspire and unite its young people through the power of Manchester United, and delivers educational and community outreach programmes to encourage participants to make positive choices in their lives.

During its 16 years, the Foundation has worked with over 75,000 young people to positively impact their lives, and has received an income from fundraising, grants and donations of more than £50 million to support its participants.

Ella Toone and Fred meet students during a Foundation event at Carrington in February.

As of last year, the Foundation delivered 97 community projects – up from the initial four in 2007 – and in the 2021/22 season alone, the club’s associated charity worked with an incredible 21,524 young people.
