Onana shortlisted for PL Save of the Month

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is on the shortlist for the Premier League Save of the Month award.

Our no.24 kept a clean sheet in every league game we played in November, with the pick of the bunch coming in our 1-0 victory over Luton Town at Old Trafford.

Onana was quick to fly down to his left and parry Carlton Morris’s towering header, a brilliant stop that has now been nominated for the Premier League's monthly prize.

Before frustrating the Hatters, Andrew also prevented Fulham from scoring against us, at Craven Cottage.

Onana was on hand once more to pull out excellent stops in our away trip to Goodison Park, where we faced a fired-up Everton side.

That was his fifth Premier League clean sheet of the season, a tally that puts him first in the race for the 2023/24 Golden Glove trophy.

Not conceding a goal at Goodison was also notable for United as a whole, as we became the first club to keep 500 shutouts in the competition.

Andre is joined by five other keepers in vying for the Save of the Month prize. The other candidates are Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham Hotspur), Alisson Becker (Liverpool), Thomas Kaminski (Luton Town), Nick Pope (Newcastle United), and Alphonse Areola (West Ham).
