Internationals return to start pre-season training

Thursday 10 July 2025 14:30

A second group of Manchester United players reported for pre-season training on Thursday morning, bolstering Ruben Amorim’s squad at sunny Carrington.

Our cameras were in position bright and early to capture Altay Bayindir, Casemiro, Diogo Dalot, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund, Chido Obi and Manuel Ugarte all arriving.

There were broad smiles as they embraced staff, reunited with team-mates and introduced themselves to new signings Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.

Early today, it was confirmed United have signed Enzo Kana-Biyik and the young forward has already secured a loan switch to Swiss Super League side, Lausanne-Sport. For that reason he was not present at the training ground.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Our new signing Matheus has spoken for the first time since joining the squad at Carrington and he is settling in nicely.

“We’re joking when I go to the locker room," he told us. “We’re talking about some games, especially with Maz [Noussair Mazraoui]. I think it's always with him, my [individual] battle.

“But, of course, we’re talking about the games, we’re talking about the seasons and then, yeah, I think everyone was very lovely with me, [it was a] very warm welcome.”

As Cunha adapts to his new surroundings, he is already looking forward to representing United for the first time.

“Every single thing here I'm so excited to do and I look [at it] like a dream,” he said.
