Manchester United recently surprised a few lucky, deserving United Members with this year’s new 2024/25 home kit.

Former striker Andy Cole, a legend of our Treble-winning squad, greeted them on their doorsteps as the lucky members became the first fans in the world to receive the new Snapdragon-sponsored kit.

You can shop the new home kit here on United Direct, where all United Members get discounts off all kits (via a code in your joining email).

You can watch the fans' reactions to Andy's surprise visit in our video below.

Sarah enjoyed showing Andy her collection of United memorabilia.

First to be visited, Sarah, is a 31-year-old from South Manchester and a lifelong United fan, thanks to her late mum.

Sarah moved from Scarborough to Manchester to support the Reds and attend as many matches as she could. In her spare time, she is an accomplished runner, impressively running the London Marathon and raising £2,500 for a children’s disability charity, whilst actively supporting local food banks when she can.

Her favourite United memories are the last game she attended alongside her mum, when Michael Owen scored a 96th-minute winner against Manchester City in 2009, attending the 1999 Champions League final at just six years old, and most recently, Andy Cole being in her living room!

Sarah described the new shirt as “really nice” and “really, really, really smart.”

Next, we visited the Reid family. Kyle, dad, is a Site Safety Manager, and mum, Denise looks after their three boys, Jake, Ben, and William. Ben and William both attend a specialist school, while eldest son Jake assists at a local specialist school.

Kyle and Jake both hold season tickets at Old Trafford, with the younger boys watching from afar, as they find the match day environment slightly challenging.

Following United is one of Kyle’s earliest memories. He ensures that “when the kids are born, the first shirt they get is United's.”

The boys couldn’t believe that Andy Cole was in their back garden with them, even taking a penalty whilst there. When asked about the new kits, the family liked the different shades of red, and got their shirts signed so they could frame them.

A happy day for Andy and the Reid family

Finally, we visited the Gromski family. Radoslaw, dad, began supporting United while following the Premier League in 1997, and his daughter, Agatha, has followed suit.

“So, I'm from Poland, and obviously Manchester United has a huge community of supporters there, and that's how I started,” said Radoslaw.

“I really liked the team spirit that Sir Alex Ferguson's team showed, with courage, desire, and commitment. Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, and the Class of ’92 are the generation I grew up with. Wonderful memories.”

Agatha and her father Radoslaw were keen to try their new home shirts on straightaway.

Radoslaw described himself as ‘proud’ and ‘honoured’ to be a United Member and has been one for seven years, trying to attend every match he can. His favourite memories of supporting the Reds are the famous Champions League final of 1999, as well as last season's FA Cup win over Liverpool with Amad's late winner at Old Trafford.
