Manchester United Women can confirm that midfielder Carrie Jones will spend the 2022/23 season on loan at fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Leicester City.

The Welsh international is a graduate of the club’s Under-21 WSL Academy and has made 10 first-team appearances in all competitions.

The player signed her first professional contract with the club in November 2021, several months after making her Women's Super League debut in a 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
Head coach Marc Skinner said:

“Part of the great culture of our club is the continued belief in the development of our younger players.

“This move is a perfect opportunity for Carrie to gain the valuable experience she needs to continue her personal and professional development.
“Carrie is an exciting prospect and with the increased exposure of playing regular first-team football, we believe it will put her in the perfect space for Manchester United in the future.

“We will be monitoring Carrie‘s development closely throughout the season.”

Manchester United Women wish Carrie the best of luck for the 2022/23 campaign.
