Eriksen shares a positive injury update with fans
Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has shared a series of three images to Instagram, highlighting another positive step in his recovery from injury.
The experienced playmaker joined the club last summer and had been ever-present in the team until he suffered a serious injury in late January, during the Emirates FA Cup win over Reading.
Eriksen was seen at the Carabao Cup final in February and, as the Denmark international told MUTV at Wembley Stadium, he was delighted to no longer need his crutches.
Wearing just a protective boot at that time, Christian was optimistic that he could play a role in United’s season run-in as the team continues to fight for success in three competitions.
“Yes, at some point in April, he will be back,” the manager told us.
“He is doing really well, really good in his rehab. The progress is very good and we have to see how that develops in the coming weeks.”
As you can see in the gallery below, Christian has moved away from his protective rehab boot to trainers and now to football boots – suggesting he might be back on the grass, working hard.
It remains to be seen exactly when Eriksen could be available and Ten Hag is not due to speak to the media until Friday 31 March, when the manager will hold his pre-match press conference for the trip to Newcastle.
United have a busy fixture list in April, of course, with nine matches across all competitions currently on the slate.
