Team-mates salute De Gea as legend departs

One word dominates the reaction from David De Gea's team-mates, following his departure from Manchester United. Legend.

The Spaniard is the epitome of that term, having made a record number of appearances for a Reds goalkeeper (545) and kept the all-time highest tally of clean sheets (190).

As well as winning an array of individual accolades – including the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award four times – De Gea has hugely contributed towards several team successes during his time in M16, from our 2012/13 Premier League title win to our most recent success in the 2022/23 Carabao Cup final.
