A snowman, as built by Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic

Which United player built this snowman?

Snowfall in Manchester made Monday a fun day for United's players, in between the squad's important preparations for the next match in this busy festive period.

For example, Nemanja Matic took advantage of the wintry conditions to build a snowman at home, a figure he then adorned with one of his United shirts - the 2020/21 away jersey.

The Serbian was proud enough of his epic creation, which matched his own towering height, to post it on Instagram.

Meanwhile, our in-form striker Edinson Cavani played the sweeper's role to clear snow off his car before heading into work at the Aon Training Complex.

On arrival, the Uruguayan and his team-mates were greeted by the unusual sight of the training pitches being a bright white colour, with initially only a few blades of familiar green grass poking through.

A light session, complete with yellow footballs and vivid orange training kit, still went ahead as the Reds limbered up for Tuesday night's Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, which you can watch live on Amazon Prime.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "We didn't do a lot [of outdoor work] because of the snow, but it was really just preparation anyway."

Weather apps suggest more snow could fall overnight into Tuesday but undersoil piping at Old Trafford means there's little chance of the Wolves game being called off for that reason, as the Reds look to turn up the heat on the handful of teams who are ahead of Ole's men in the Premier League table.
