United fixtures: More changes in March

Monday 05 February 2024 17:30

Manchester United's Premier League schedule in March has become clearer, with two more matches moving to accommodate live television coverage.

The Reds begin next month with the Manchester derby against City, and the Etihad Stadium encounter has already been switched to Sunday 3 March, kicking off at 15:30 GMT.

The following weekend, there is now a lunchtime start (12:30 GMT) to the home game against Sean Dyche's Everton on Saturday 9 March. The clash with the Toffees is to be screened live by TNT Sports in the UK.

United won 3-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season, a match that will forever be remembered for Alejandro Garnacho's incredible bicycle-kick goal.

The home clash with Sheffield United has not been selected for live TV, but it will be moved from its provisional date of Saturday 16 March (15:00 GMT) if the Reds beat Bristol City or Nottingham Forest in the Emirates FA Cup on 28 February. The sixth-round ties will be played around the weekend of 16 and 17 March.

After the international break, when the fixtures include England v Brazil on Saturday 23 March, our month will end with an away trip to Brentford. The 30 March meeting will now be a Saturday-night affair in south-west London (20:00 BST) and will be covered by Sky Sports.

The Reds' last meeting with the Bees produced a sensational finale, as Scott McTominay scored twice in injury time to earn a dramatic 2-1 triumph.
