Confirmed: United's Premier League fixtures in January

Tuesday 15 December 2020 16:00

The dates and times for Manchester United's five Premier League fixtures in January 2021 have been confirmed.

The Reds begin the new year by hosting Aston Villa on Friday 1 January, in what will be our sixth game in all competitions in the space of 15 days, starting with Thursday's trip to Sheffield United.

Our meeting with the Villans will be shown live on Sky Sports, with kick-off set for 20:00 GMT.

Due to Matchweek 18 being split in two, there's then a gap of over a fortnight before our next Premier League test, with a potential Carabao Cup semi-final - if we can get past Everton in the upcoming quarter-final - on 5/6 January, and Watford making the trip to M16 for an FA Cup third-round tie on 9 January.

The date and kick-off time for our Emirates FA Cup third-round tie at Old Trafford have been revealed.

Whatever happens in the cups, United's first away trip of the new year will be to Liverpool.

Our last defeat on the road in the Premier League came at Anfield in January 2020, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men will have the chance to exact revenge on the Merseysiders when the sides go head-to-head on Sunday 17 January, in a game which will be shown live on Sky Sports at 16:30 GMT.

Three days later, on Wednesday 20 January, the Reds are in the capital to take on Scott Parker's Fulham - that one will be broadcast on BT Sport, with kick-off at 20:15 GMT.

The following weekend is set aside for FA Cup fourth-round ties, before another Premier League midweek has us in action against Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday 27 January - again, it's a 20:15 GMT kick-off, on BT Sport.

The Reds close out another potentially hectic month with a visit to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on Saturday 30 January.

We lost to the Gunners in November in the reverse fixture and will be looking for our first win against the north Londoners in the league since April 2018, when the game kicks off at 17:30 GMT, live on Sky Sports.
