'See you at Wembley' - How the Reds reacted after Fulham win

Monday 29 May 2023 10:30

Manchester United ended the Premier League season in winning fashion with a hard-fought 2-1 against Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday, securing a third-placed finish for the 22/23 campaign.

Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes both found the net to cancel out Kenny Tete’s opener, with David De Gea also saving Aleksandar Mitrović's penalty to help secure a vital three points for the Reds.

Erik ten Hag’s men now have just one more fixture to play this season, with our FA Cup final showdown with Manchester City at Wembley Stadium to come this Saturday. Following our final-day success over the Cottagers, some of the United squad took to social media to help celebrate our endeavours this term.

“Ending our last game at Old Trafford with a win! Thank you guys for your continuous support not only to me personally but to everyone in the club. One more big game ahead!” wrote Sancho, via Instagram, who smashed home the opener, starting our comeback in M16 yesterday afternoon.

Fellow goal scorer Fernandes also thanked the Red Army for all of their support at Old Trafford across the campaign before sharing the message, “See you all at Wembley.”

Diogo Dalot made his first start since United’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa in April and acknowledge United still have one more chance at success before our 22/23 campaign draws to close, writing: “One more final to go and hopefully celebrate with you again.

Meanwhile, Tyrell Malacia issued the same battle-cry, adding: “Next: FA Cup final.” Victor Lindelof and Casemiro both shared the message of “See you at Wembley” ahead of this weekend’s all-Manchester final in the capital.

After collecting his Premier League Golden Glove award for 17 sheets, David De Gea shared his love for both United and his loved ones on Twitter.
