Rashford reacts to his shoulder surgery

Manchester United hero Marcus Rashford has shared a positive message with supporters, after undergoing surgery on his long-running shoulder injury.

It was confirmed late last month that, following consultation between the player, the manager, club medical staff and specialists, our no.10 would undergo an imminent procedure.

In a sign of his immense character and willingness to help the team, Marcus played through the pain barrier for much of last season and still racked up 64 appearances for club and country.
Rashford’s last match was with England in the Euro 2020 final and, after further assessments on his injury were made and following a much-deserved holiday, his surgery took place last week.

Providing an update to his millions of fans on social media, the inspirational United forward has posted this upbeat message: “Thank you for all the well wishes,” he writes.

“I had my surgery on Friday morning and everything went very well. A little sore but other than that I’m feeling good. Hope you’re all having a great day!”

Naturally, Rashford has missed all of United’s pre-season campaign so far and will not be involved in this weekend’s much-anticipated Premier League opener against Leeds at Old Trafford.

It remains to be seen when Marcus will return to action and we wish him well in his recovery.
