In the 67th minute of our Premier League meeting with Arsenal on 3 September 2023, Rasmus Hojlund replaced Anthony Martial to make his debut for Manchester United.

This Sunday, at Old Trafford, the Denmark international is set to face the Gunners once more, and a lot has happened between these two games.

Rasmus has scored 14 goals so far in his debut season for the Reds and, in a recent interview with United Review, the 21-year-old shared his favourite memories at the club so far.

Eight months on from the first time he wore the United jersey, Hojlund recalls the moment he stepped on to the pitch at the Emirates Stadium.

Rasmus Hojlund: The story so far

Ahead of facing Arsenal on Sunday, Rasmus Hojlund shares his best memories as a Red so far...

"Obviously that was against Arsenal as well, and it was a big game. I was coming on and it was a draw," he said.

"I hoped I could get on and get a winner, of course. Playing in an amazing away stadium and also getting my debut for Manchester United was very, very special for me.

"I was a little bit nervous and when I saw my name with 11 on the back [in the dressing room], I was very excited. There’s been some great players who’ve played in that shirt."

Since that day, Rasmus has played 39 times for the Reds in four different competitions.

The Dane identifies his home debut as a memorable moment but admits that above all others, his first Premier League goal stands out among the crowd.

"My first goal here, against Galatasaray, and then the second after that [in the same game]," he said, when asked about his favourite Old Trafford memory.

"We were 2-1 up at the time and I scored at the Stretford End. That was very special for me.

"But my favourite is the Villa one [the 3-2 win on Boxing Day]. We won the game, and it was my first Premier League goal."

"It’s a top feeling," he added, discussing the emotions of scoring at the Stretford End.

"Hopefully, there’s many more goals to come."
