Edinson Cavani was on target twice for United to build on the 6-2 win over the Italian side in the first leg at Old Trafford last Thursday.

It means that we have now beaten Roma, Granada, Milan and Real Sociedad on the way to the final of competition that we were winners of back in 2017.

As for Villarreal, they got the better of English opposition in the form of Arsenal to book their ticket to the final in Gdansk.

Unai Emery’s side drew 0-0 with the Gunners on the night but were 2-1 victors on aggregate following last week’s win on home soil.

It will be our first meeting with the Spanish side since the 2008/09 season and the fifth overall – with the previous four actually ending 0-0.
