United set up Under-19s friendly with AC Milan
Manchester United have arranged an Under-19s friendly with AC Milan in the build-up to Christmas.
The Reds will take on the Rossoneri youngsters at Leigh Sports Village on Friday 20 December, with a 19:00 GMT kick-off.
There will be free entry for all spectators on the night.
Back in September, United had a 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin at Altrincham's Moss Lane in the same age group.
The fixture is the latest in a number of enhancements made to our Academy games programme, to provide experience for the club's youngsters. The chance to face top European opposition helps replicate first-team football and it increases the variety of experiences our players are exposed to during their development.
United played Italian opposition in the shape of Juventus in the UEFA Youth League last season, an Under-19 competition, with Nicky Butt's team winning 4-1 at home, thanks to goals from Josh Bohui, Mason Greenwood, James Garner and Dylan Levitt.
The away tie in Turin finished 2-2, with an own goal by Joao Serrao and Aidan Barlow's penalty helping the Reds to a useful point on the road en route to qualification from the group stages.
