Atletico v United: Travelling squad announced
This weekend's Spanish friendly double-header, against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, will be shown live on the United App, MUTV and ManUtd.com.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and a 21-man travelling squad have flown to Oslo ahead of Saturday's friendly with Atletico Madrid.
The Reds' penultimate fixture of the pre-season, which kicks off at 12:45 BST, presents a really tough test against the Spanish side in the Norwegian capital.
Ten Hag is taking a party of 21 players to Scandinavia, including new signings Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen, who could make their first appearance for the club.
Fellow summer recruit Tyrell Malacia is also named in the group, along with fellow full-back Ethan Laird.
Midfielders Scott McTominay and James Garner are on the trip after proving their fitness.
Some of those absent from the squad will take part in Sunday's game against Rayo Vallecano, while others are ill or injured.
Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Tom Heaton, Matej Kovar.
Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Ethan Laird, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Alex Telles.
Midfielders: Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, James Garner, Scott McTominay, Facundo Pellistri, Donny van de Beek.
Forwards: Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho.
As previously stated, following the friendly with Atletico, a much-anticipated first match at Old Trafford for our new boss is being played on Sunday, against another Spanish side in Rayo Vallecano.
The clash kicks off at 16:00 BST and presents an opportunity for other members of the squad to get a run-out in advance of next weekend's Premier League opener with Brighton & Hove Albion. The squads for the matches have been designed to ensure that available players get adequate game-time across the two fixtures.
