Manchester United's Under-23s have lined up a pre-season friendly with Altrincham on Saturday 30 July.

The Reds' youngsters will provide Alty's final opposition before their National League campaign kicks off, with the game starting at 15:00 BST.

The J. Davidson Stadium, formerly Moss Lane where United's Reserves used to play home matches, will host the fixture.

Alan Fettis is departing the club this summer after sterling service with the Reds' young keepers.

The match takes place the same day as the first team are in action in Oslo against Atletico Madrid, and a day before the recently announced Old Trafford friendly with another side from La Liga in Rayo Vallecano.

The Under-23s should benefit from being able to call upon members of the successful FA Youth Cup-winning side, with some of Travis Binnon's youngsters already blooded at Premier League 2 level.

Ticket prices are as follows: £10 for adults, £7 for concessions (over 65s, students, NHS workers), £4 for juniors (12-18) and £2 for under 12s.

More pre-season details for the Under-23s, whose boss Neil Wood has joined Salford City as the League Two club's head coach, will be announced in due course on our official club channels.
