United Under-21s to play at Old Trafford again

Monday 27 March 2023 14:30

Manchester United Under-21s are set to play in the next fixture at Old Trafford.

The young Reds will meet Arsenal at the Theatre of Dreams this Friday 31 March, with kick-off in the Premier League 2 match scheduled for 19:00 BST.

A strictly limited number of tickets has now sold out but fans can still watch the game live on MUTV, ManUtd.com and the United App.

Teden Mengi, Noam Emeran and Willy Kambwala get a feel for Old Trafford before the Monaco game in November.

Our show will commence at 18:45 BST, 15 minutes before kick-off.

Alongside our live stream, we will be providing essential updates in the United App as usual. Later, you will be able to read a match report and watch a highlights video on demand.

Our Under-21s were defeated by Friday's opponents Arsenal on the opening day of the season, but the young Reds have shown much progression since then.

The Director of the Academy, Nick Cox, recently praised the way our young players have adapted to the environment of the Premier League 2, with the likes of Kobbie Mainoo being selected in Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad – and making his senior United debut - and a host of our young players receiving call-ups to their respective international sides.

The clash with the Gunners will be our Under-21s' second opportunity to play at Old Trafford this season. Back in November, Monaco were the visitors for a Premier League International Cup fixture and although the French side triumphed 2-0, the chance to play in the iconic arena is something that will have stood our young players in good stead.

Now they will return to the main stage at the Theatre of Dreams, ready to gain some invaluable experience again.
