The match is a reward for the Reds' 1-0 victory over Championship club Watford in the previous round, while Liverpool overcame a much-changed Aston Villa side.

Clearly the tie of the round, it should be another titanic tussle between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men and Jurgen Klopp's team.

Both sides already know they will be at home in the next round, should they get through, with West Ham United or Doncaster Rovers lying in wait next month.

That game will be staged at Old Trafford or Anfield, depending which side is victorious at the Theatre of Dreams a week on Sunday.
