Our Women's Academy award winners for 2024/25

Sunday 18 May 2025 10:00

On the day Manchester United Women compete in a third successive FA Cup final, we are proud to recognise the excellence of our Academy players on the rise.

Our Under-21s enjoyed a strong season by finishing second in the PGA U21s Women's League, reaching the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals and progressing to the Women’s Plate Cup semi-finals. It was our first time in the latter competition and getting to the last four was viewed as an excellent achievement.

Several members of the squad also gained invaluable experience on duel contracts with women’s teams around the football pyramid, helping them to grow as players and people.

After much consideration, the coaching staff have chosen Lucy Crook as United Women’s U21s Player of the Year at the end of an excellent season.

Millie Crook has been named the U21s Players’ Player of the Year, in what is always an honourable mark of respect from within the dressing room.

Well played, Lucy and Millie.

Meanwhile, United Women’s Under-16s began the season superbly by winning the Northern Ireland Super Cup, before competing well all season in the challenging Boys JPL League.

The young side also became back-to-back winners of the JPL Tournament and reached the FA Youth Cup semi-final, underlining the group's exciting potential.

We are pleased to confirm the two U16 awards have both been allocated to Lucy R, who is our Coaches’ and Players’ Player of the Year for 2024/25.

Meanwhile, the Emma Fletcher Academy Player of the Year award has been given to Under-14s player Grace T, as a reward for her positive attitude and performances this campaign. Congratulations to all our 2024/25 winners.
