Maria Thorisdottir departs United Women
Manchester United Women can today confirm that defender Maria Thorisdottir has joined fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Brighton and Hove Albion on a permanent deal.
Thorisdottir joined United in January 2021 and went on to make 45 appearances in red, scoring one goal in the process.
The Norway international was a key member of our record-breaking 2022/23 squad, as the team finished second in the WSL, secured Champions League qualification for the first time, and made it to our maiden Women's FA Cup final.
Everyone at Manchester United thanks Maria for her great service, and she will always be welcome at Carrington.
