Confirmed: United Women's FA Cup opponents
Manchester United will host Burnley in the fourth round of the 2025/26 Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
The Reds have reached the final of the competition in each of the last three seasons, lifting the trophy in 2023/24 after a historic 4-0 win over Tottenham played out in front of 76,082 people at Wembley Stadium.
This is the stage at which all 12 Barclays Women’s Super League teams enter the competition, joining the 20 winning sides from the third round, played over this past weekend.

Burnley, who compete in the third-tier FA Women’s National League North, reached the fourth round with a one-sided 7-0 win over fourth tier Peterborough on Sunday. Claudia Walker, formerly a WSL player with Liverpool, Everton, Birmingham and West Ham, scored two of the goals.
United have faced the Clarets once before, meeting at the same stage of the FA Cup during the 2020/21 campaign. Led by Casey Stoney on that occasion, we ran out 6-0 winners at the County Ground in Leyland.
Millie Turner, Ella Toone, Lucy Staniforth, Amy Turner and Kirsty Hanson (twice) all got on the scoresheet in what was a comprehensive victory.
Other notable ties drawn include Manchester City’s trip to Bournemouth, Arsenal hosting Aston Villa and Chelsea handed a home tie against Crystal Palace.
Fourth round ties will be played on the weekend of 17/18 January, with exact dates and kick-off times to be confirmed in due course. The game is sandwiched between consecutive WSL away games following the league’s winter break, against Arsenal on 10 January and Aston Villa on 25 January.
This season’s final will take place at Wembley on 31 May, the 12th time it has been staged at the national stadium since first moving under the arch in 2015.
