Parris named PFA Fans’ Player of the Month

Wednesday 13 December 2023 15:30

Manchester United forward Nikita Parris has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for November.

Her accolade announced today follows another individual honour - the striker was voted United’s Player of the Month by our supporters.

The Reds' no.22 scored six goals in six appearances during November, helping the Reds to win four of the six games.

Nikita's exploits included a night to remember in the Conti Cup at the start of the month, when Everton visited Leigh Sports Village.

Nikita bags our women's award for November, after an impressive few weeks for Marc Skinner's side.

The Reds triumphed with a 7-0 victory, and Parris took the matchball home after bagging a hat-trick against the Toffees.

A headed finish along with two further strikes would help us start our Conti Cup campaign in style and put the frustration of a rare draw in the WSL, 2-2 against Brighton, behind us.
Parris was on the scoresheet again just days later in our 5-0 victory at home to West Ham in the WSL, bagging her fourth goal of the month just before half-time.

In United's second win of the Conti Cup campaign, Nikita would score the only goal of the game as we beat Liverpool 1-0 at Prenton Park, a result that helped us bounce back from our only November defeat - 3-1 to Manchester City at Old Trafford.

The forward's sixth and final goal of the month came in our 2-0 win away to Bristol City, when she headed home from Ella Toone’s cross to secure all three points.

Congratulations on your award, Nikita, and thanks to everyone whose votes helped her see off the competition from Aggie Beever-Jones and Lauren James (Chelsea), Beth Mead (Arsenal), Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp (both Manchester City).
