United Women learn 2022/23 WSL fixtures

Tuesday 12 July 2022 15:00

Manchester United Women will begin the 2022/23 Barclays Women’s Super League with an away trip to Tottenham Hotspur Women.

The WSL released their calendar this afternoon, giving supporters the opportunity to spot our key fixtures ahead of the new season.

Marc Skinner’s side begin the campaign with a trip to north London to face Spurs, scheduled to take place on 10/11 September.

The Reds kick off at home on the second weekend of the season, with Reading Women the visitors to Leigh Sports Village on 17/18 September.

There could well be fireworks on 5 November, as Skinner’s side are slated to host Emma Hayes’s Chelsea on that weekend.

United Women were narrowly defeated by the Blues on the final day of last season, after which Skinner said: “The fire has been lit.” He will hope his side can get the better of Hayes’s team in the 2022/23 season.

Supporters will no doubt be keen to learn when United face newly promoted Liverpool, and Manchester City. Remarkably Skinner’s side face back-to-back matches against both of these side twice, first on the weekends of 10/11 December and 14/15 January 2023, and then again on 21/22 and 27/28 May, respectively.

Many members of the squad are currently participating in the Women’s Euro 2022, while others resumed pre-season training this week.
