Manchester United Women will play Brighton & Hove Albion in the quarter-finals of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.

Marc Skinner's side defeated Southampton 3-1 on Sunday, thanks to goals from Ella Toone and Rachel Williams (2), to progress to the next stage of the competition.

Having reached the final last season, after beating Brighton in the semis, the Reds are looking to go one better this term and must overcome the Seagulls once more to continue on the road to Wembley.

United have defeated Newcastle United and Southampton on the way to the sixth round of the competition.

The Magpies visited Leigh Sports Village in January, and fell to a 5-0 loss at the hands of Skinner's side. The aforementioned success over Southampton then followed, with the Reds heading back to the south coast to take on Brighton in this year's quarter-finals.

We met the Seagulls in the semi-finals last season, edging the fixture 3-2 to reach Wembley, thanks to a late goal from Williams.

There are some intriguing encounters in the last eight, with holders Chelsea travelling to Everton and local rivals Manchester City facing a trip to Tottenham.
