Naalsund up for WSL Player of the Month

Manchester United midfielder Lisa Naalsund is in the running to be named the Women's Super League's Player of the Month for March.

The Norway international, who is also among a trio of nominees up for our own March prize, enjoyed a standout month that has earned her league-wide recognition.

Naalsund is one of six players shortlisted for the WSL accolade, and you can do your bit as she bids to win, by voting here.

Lisa featured in all four of United's top-flight games across the month, scoring twice and registering an assist, as Marc Skinner's side added seven points to our season's tally.

Both of the 28-year-old's league goals came in the 2-0 triumph over Bristol City on 17 March, as she found the net in both halves to steer the Reds to victory.

Our no.16 superbly drove forward from midfield before firing home the opener in the aforementioned contest, before completing a brace late on when she converted a corner delivery from Katie Zelem into the net.

Naalsund turned provider in our most recent outing, the 4-1 win at home to Everton last Sunday, setting up Ella Toone's second goal of the game after winning the ball off the Toffees high up the pitch.

Our midfielder faces competition for the award from Chelsea's Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, former Red and now Aston Villa forward Adriana Leon, Manchester City duo Jess Park and Khadija Shaw, plus compatriot Elisabeth Terland of Brighton.

Voting is now open and will run until 10:00 BST on the morning of Monday 8 April, so be sure to show your support for Lisa by selecting her as your choice here.
