Confirmed: When United Women will play at Old Trafford

Friday 17 February 2023 14:00

The date and kick-off time of Manchester United Women’s WSL game against West Ham at Old Trafford has been confirmed.

As initially scheduled, the fixture will take place on Saturday 25 March at the Theatre of Dreams, but with a new start time of 17:30 GMT.

The move from 12:30 GMT comes as a result of the league announcing the latest round of broadcast selections, with the match set to be televised live on Sky Sports in the UK.
The game will be United Women’s fourth at the stadium, and second against West Ham, who were the team’s first-ever opponents at the Theatre of Dreams back in 2021, behind closed doors.

United won that game 2-0 and also went on to beat Everton and Aston Villa at the stadium – both in 2022 – while the sold-out opener to last year’s UEFA Women’s European Championship, between England and Austria, was also held in M16.

The meeting with West Ham will come on The FA’s Women’s Football Weekend – first launched back in 2019 – with the aim of widely showcasing the women's game and calling as many supporters as possible to get behind their respective teams by attending matches. This also falls during the men's international break.

All fixtures across the WSL will also be available to watch live on either Sky Sports, the BBC or The FA Player.
United’s game will have a particular importance as the run-in begins to take shape for the title and Champions League positions in the WSL, with the Reds currently top of the division.

Before then, Marc Skinner’s side will face Leicester City at home in the league, before a trip to reigning champions Chelsea.

Tickets for the Old Trafford encounter with West Ham are available to buy now, with entry for adults at £10, and £5 for under-16s and over-65s.

Hospitality is also available to purchase. Prices start from £25 per person (dependent on package) - more information is available here.
