Mejia signs new United contract
Mateo Mejia has signed a new contract with Manchester United.
The young forward has agreed fresh terms with the Reds and will look to continue his progress at the club.
He joined in 2019, from Real Zaragoza, and gained plenty of experience in Premier League 2 last season.
The 20-year-old scored twice, including a strike against Arsenal at Old Trafford, followed by netting in his next outing in the division, away to Leicester City.
Although born in Spain, he represented Colombia at Under-20s level for the first time in December, in recognition of his efforts in the red shirt.
Mejia was one of 32 Academy players to join first-team training on occasion last season and will have benefited from working closely with the senior coaches and players.
