United's academy squad to visit Hong Kong

Manchester United and its long-standing partner, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, have announced they are to host the fifth JC Youth Football Academy Summit in Hong Kong this summer.

During the summit, the Manchester United Academy U16 squad will be in Hong Kong to participate in a week-long cultural and football exchange programme with young local players from 11 to 18 August, including two friendly matches. 

The two matches are scheduled to take place on 15 and 17 August at Mong Kok Stadium. The first match will feature the Manchester United Academy U16 squad versus a Premier Youth League Select Team, while the second match will be between Manchester United Academy U16 and the Hong Kong, China U16 Representative Team. 

Manchester United former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel and former defender Phil Jones will visit Hong Kong and join some of the activities. The team legends will each make an appearance at one of the friendly matches.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been working in partnership with Manchester United as their Official Community Partner in Hong Kong for 13 years, with the aim of developing the physical, mental and social capabilities of young people through the power of football.

Fans can register to attend two matches at the JC Youth Football Academy Summit via hkjc.com/WithYou, starting from 10:00 Hong Kong local time on Monday 14 July. Tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.
