Skinner: I’m really happy with where we’re at
Marc Skinner has revealed that he is ‘really happy’ with where his Manchester United team is at following a tense 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (12 February).
The Reds took the lead through Leah Galton before Bethany England equalised for the hosts. A Molly Bartrip own-goal immediately followed, however, proving the difference for us on the day.
All three points takes us back to the top of the table heading into the international break this week.

“We’ve got to keep coming to places like this, we have to keep performing, we have to keep trying to dominate games. If we do that, we’ll get what we deserve because that is the nature of sport.
“[The fans] deserve to see their team at the top of the table.”
“Sometimes that is part of football, that we don’t always have the players,” he told MUTV.
“But what it shows is the connected nature of the group, their togetherness, their energy, they just don’t want to lose.
“We won’t be happy with the goal we’ve conceded, but they had chances, few and far between, so it was a really strong performance when we went down to 10.”
United opened the scoring through Leah Galton, who made just her second appearance of the year since returning from injury.
Our no.11 believed the result was the right one in her post-match interview with club media, saying: “There were a few times we had to defend, defend, defend, and I think we did that. There were a few times, a few moments, when I was a bit worried but I think the result was the right outcome today.”
Galton also added that it ‘feels great’ to return to the top of the table following the victory.
The Reds will be back in action on Sunday 26 February, when we host Durham in the FA Cup.
