Skinner provides team news ahead of Manchester derby
Manchester United Women head coach Marc Skinner has provided an update on the fitness of Elisabeth Terland and Jayde Riviere, along with the latest on Ella Toone's recovery.
Skinner has been previewing Saturday's clash with crosstown rivals Manchester City in the Barclays Women's Super League at Old Trafford, speaking from M16 after our slender 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-final first leg.
Our current top scorer in all competitions, Terland, was an unused substitute in that game, while Riviere was brought on for the final 15 minutes, having started the majority of United's games this season.
Anna Sandberg, Dominique Janssen, Ellen Wangerheim, Leah Galton and Toone were absent from the matchday squad with various fitness issues, while Celin Bizet Donnum remains unavailable as she's expecting a baby.

"Probably not," Skinner replied, when asked whether any of those sidelined players will be back in contention for Saturday, but there are positives where Riviere and Terland are concerned.
"We'll be further along in terms of availability, so Jayde [Riviere] will be further along with her availability. Teri [Elisabeth Terland] will hopefully be okay.
"But probably not additionals coming back, no. Layla [Drury] will obviously be back in because she wasn't in the Champions League squad, so she'll be back in as well. I wouldn't expect anyone else."
The United Women boss was also asked for further information on Toone, who watched the Bayern game from the stands, having been out since December with a hip injury, but Skinner hopes to have her back training with the team soon.
"The plan is, hopefully, the game after the international break [against Spurs]," the head coach said. "[That] is the aim for her, should everything go well.
"She's training on the field, she's doing individual bits, she'll hopefully be back with more team bits soon enough, so the aim is, and the hope is, that we can get her back for after the next international window."
That timeline would see the Lionesses star return to Reds action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 26 April.
