There could be no prizes for guessing the outcome of this one... Manchester United's Goal of the Month poll for October has been topped by Marcus Rashford's free-kick against Chelsea.

The Mancunian's extraordinary match-winning strike in last week's Carabao Cup tie scooped a massive 77 per cent of all votes cast in our Official App, after fans watched a shortlist of 10 efforts from the first team, women's team, Under-23s and Under-18s.

Rashford even managed to secure second place in the poll as well, with his goal in the preceding 3-1 win at Norwich City in the Premier League picking up nine per cent. Anthony Martial's contribution to that triumph finished third in the running.

Relive the goal that triggered these scenes and earned Rashford our monthly accolade.
Rashford was named Man of the Match at Stamford Bridge, where he also slotted a penalty past Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero. Speaking about his free-kick after the game, the striker said:

“It’s always worth a shot, because if you get it up and over the wall, it’s got a chance. It’s difficult for the keeper.

“Then you just get the team to follow it because maybe the keeper doesn’t hold on to it. I just see it as an opportunity to score a goal and you do your best.”
Also nominated for October's accolade were Mason Greenwood and Ethan Galbraith - for their goals against Doncaster Rovers in the Leasing.com trophy - as well as Kirsty Hanson (United Women v Reading), Katie Zelem (United Women v Manchester City), Angel Gomes (Under-23s v Stoke), Aliou Traore (Under-23s v Swansea) and Anthony Elanga (Under-18s v Middlesbrough).

Well done to all of them and congratulations to Marcus on winning your latest club award.
