Rashford nominated for Premier League award

Marcus Rashford has been named on a seven-man shortlist for January's Player of the Month award in the Premier League.

The Manchester United forward has been in red-hot form, scoring three times in four outings in the division over the course of the month.

Early into 2023, the England international scored the final goal in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth and, after netting three times in two cup ties, he poked in Alejandro Garnacho's centre to grab a much-celebrated derby winner against Manchester City.

In our final league fixture of the month, Rashford struck a beautiful long-range drive past Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale to hand Erik ten Hag's men the lead.

Unfortunately, the Gunners scored late on to snatch a 3-2 success at the Emirates Stadium.

The Wythenshawe wonder was also nominated for December's award, along with team-mate Casemiro, but they lost out to Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard.

Our no.10 did pick up the trophy in September, though, for the second time in his career. He is also the reigning Player of the Month at United, after beating Casemiro and Luke Shaw to our last award.

Marcus Rashford was voted September's Player of the Month in the Premier League.
