Reds handed squad boost ahead of Chelsea

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has trained on Tuesday, ahead of our Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Our no.10 has missed the recent victories against Wolves and Bournemouth but has been pictured out on the pitch at Carrington, ahead our encounter with the Blues on Thursday night.

The Reds need just one point to make sure of a top-four finish, and have back-to-back home fixtures to round off the 2022/23 campaign.

Erik ten Hag provided an update on Marcus's fitness at his pre-Bournemouth media briefing last week and is likely to do so once more tomorrow (Wednesday) at Carrington.

“Rashy, he trained the whole week but, today, he reported he doesn't feel well so he's ill,” Erik told journalists last week. “We have to see how he recovers during the day and then see tomorrow.”

The England international subsequently played no part in our victory at the Vitality Stadium, with Casemiro's first-half strike proving decisive.

Having found the net 29 times in all competitions so far this season, Rashford's appearance in training provides a boost ahead of Thursday's clash with Frank Lampard's side.
With Anthony Martial chosen to lead the line against the Cherries on Saturday, we await the news of how our squad is fully shaping up, with the boss expected to provide an update at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

Be sure to stay tuned to both ManUtd.com and the United App for all the latest updates - as we prepare for our penultimate match in the Premier League.
