Marcus Rashford pulls off a nutmeg.

Rashford tops the nutmeg charts

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is known for his flair and the stats reveal he pulled off more nutmegs than any other player in the 2019/20 Premier League season.

The England international has always been adept at using the trick to work his way past defenders and, when we looked at the stats during lockdown, he was second only to Wolves' Diogo Jota when it came to having the skill logged by the FBRef website.

We believe he went top of the table when slipping the ball through Mark Noble's legs in the draw with West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Watch Marcus Rashford pull off a great piece of skill.

Marcus (13) and Jota (12) were considerably ahead of their closest challengers in this particular respect, with six players tied on seven, five adrift of the Portugal international.

Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Serge Aurier, Southampton striker Danny Ings, Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe, Aston Villa's Trezeguet and ex-United man Wilfried Zaha, now with Crystal Palace, were the other men on the list.

It has been some season for Marcus, who is joint top-scorer for the Reds with 22 goals in all competitions, level with Anthony Martial.

He would have missed much of the end of the season due to a back injury, but the enforced break enabled him to return and add to his tally during the run-in, including a key opening goal at Crystal Palace.

Off the field, his humanitarian work has been lauded after he helped convince the government to make a U-turn regarding schoolchildren's lunch vouchers.

The homegrown product received an honorary degree from Manchester University last month and won the Premier League 2019/20 Academy Graduate award on Thursday.

No doubt he will be looking to finishing a positive campaign on a high in the Europa League – maybe not just hitting the net but also throwing in a few more of those nutmegs!
