Bar set high for Mount
Mason Mount says Manchester United need to set the bar high for the 2024/25 season.
The 25-year-old is raring to go with the Reds after an injury-hit first term, following last summer’s move from Chelsea.
Mount made 20 appearances for United during 2023/24 and, although it was at times a frustrating year both individually and collectively, the Emirates FA Cup win ensured that we culminated on a high note, as Erik ten Hag lifted his second trophy in two seasons as manager.
Mason believes that victory over Manchester City was an example of what the squad is capable of and he wants to have the opportunity to celebrate with more silverware in the future.

MOUNT IN LA | Mason discusses Tour 2024, youthful energy and getting set for the season...
“We know what we can do as a group and I think we showed it at the end of last season,” said Mount, in an exclusive interview with club media in Los Angeles.
“We definitely have a group that can win trophies and that's the most important thing.
“We'll keep trying to do that and stay focused on that goal, because this is Manchester United and we need to set the bar as high as we can and we know how high the bar is.
“Now it's time for us to perform. But we're ready for it, as I said, and as many trophies as we can get, win as many games as we can.
“That's our focus throughout the whole group. We're definitely on the same page.”
