Juventus v United: Team news, TV info & permutations
Manchester United Women travel to Turin to face Juventus on Wednesday, in our sixth and final game of the UEFA Women’s Champions League first phase.
The Reds have already confirmed at least a place in the play-offs, which begin in the new year, but the contest in Italy will help decide whether we are seeded or unseeded in the next round.
There’s still a slight chance that Marc Skinner’s side could finish in the top four, and qualify automatically for the quarter-finals, although we would need several results to go our way.
Find out more about all the permutations, plus TV info and team news, in our in-depth preview…
HOW TO WATCH AND FOLLOW
As with all of this season’s games, Wednesday’s clash is being broadcast live on Disney+, at 20:00 GMT, but don’t forget about MUTV’s offering.
Zarah Connolly is hosting our live watchalong, which you can watch over on the official YouTube channel, and via the United App and ManUtd.com.
We’ll have in-game updates in the app itself, and subscribers can check back two hours after the final whistle for highlights.
TEAM NEWS
Elisabeth Terland returned to the side for Sunday’s incredible 3-3 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, although the Norwegian was replaced by Leah Galton ahead of our late turnaround in Leigh.
Terland was injured and sat out of last week’s 3-0 reverse at home to Lyon, and the striker was missed as she's saved her best for Europe this term, scoring seven of her 10 goals in continental competition.
Millie Turner will hope to at least be part of the travelling squad, as she continues her recovery from injury.
The talismanic Barbara Bonansea, who has played for Juve since their inception in 2017, is a doubt following Saturday’s 2-1 win over Napoli.
“Barbara didn’t finish the game in the best physical shape, clearly,” said coach Massimiliano Canzi. “She suffered a minor injury, and she’ll have to have tests to see if she’ll be available for the next few games.”

WHAT DO WE NEED?
United sit ninth but would overtake fourth-placed Juventus and move on to 12 points with victory at the Allianz Stadium.
The teams occupying the top two places – Barcelona and Lyon – cannot be caught, while Chelsea (third) and Wolfsburg (seventh) play each other on matchday six, and both sides have stronger goal differences, so one of them is virtually guaranteed to end up above us.
We would, then, need Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Arsenal all to fail to win. Bayern host Valerenga, while Real and Arsenal travel to Twente and OH Leuven respectively.
A finish between fifth and eighth would mean we are seeded for February’s play-offs. The lowest the Reds can finish is 12th, which is the last of the unseeded play-off spots.
UEFA has a simulator so you can see what different results on matchday six would mean for the final table.

The Bianconeri sit five points behind Roma in their bid to retain the Serie A Femminile title, but have impressed in Europe.
Canzi’s side are still hopeful of a last-eight place for only the second time in their history, and they beat St Polten 5-0 last time out, after an impressive 3-3 draw against Lyon in November.
The Turin club have also claimed the scalps of Benfica and Atletico Madrid this term, with Bayern the only side to defeat them so far.
