Oyedele moves to Legia Warsaw
Maxi Oyedele has completed a permanent move from Manchester United to Legia Warsaw.
Salford-born Oyedele, 19, joined United's Academy and helped win the FA Youth Cup in 2022, coming on as a substitute in the final against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
A regular for our Under-18s and Under-23s in recent years, the midfielder has also represented Poland at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level.
While at the club, Maxi has previously moved out on loan, to Altrincham and Forest Green Rovers, transfers that helped his development as he prepares for the transition to senior football.
Oyedele featured for Erik ten Hag's men in pre-season, setting up Joe Hugill's goal against Rangers in Edinburgh, before travelling out to the United States for Tour 2024, presented by Snapdragon.
Deployed in defence and midfield, the experience will have been valuable for the 19-year-old, who now makes the next step in his career.
"My time at Manchester United has finally come to end," he posted on Instagram. "I want to say thank you to the only club I’ve ever known. Honoured to say I’ve been at the club for 12 years and had some unbelievable experiences with some amazing team-mates.
"Thank you to all the coaches, staff and the fans, I will never forget the memories I have made at this club. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best as I leave ready to start the next chapter of my career. This club will always be my home and, once again, thank you."
We wish you all the best for the future, Maxi!
