A chance for men to discuss mental health
Manchester United fans coming to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon are invited to engage with three organisations doing invaluable work to improve men’s mental health.
Representatives from ‘Andy’s Man Club’ will be stationed within our Pop-Up Pub by the Stretford End, inviting supporters in attendance to learn more about the suicide prevention charity.
The group offers free peer-to-peer support groups across the UK and online, as part of their mission to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health through the power of conversation.
The Old Trafford Pop-Up Pub will be open from 13:30 BST on Saturday, four hours ahead of the big Premier League match against Chelsea.
Fans with tickets to the game can enjoy live music, fast pours, local food and a Q&A with club legends Denis Irwin and Gary Pallister.
Old Trafford's first Pop-Up Pub an instant hit

OPPOSITE THE MEGASTORE
On the East Stand forecourt, fans can find members of the ‘Mandem Meetup’ group, who are also working to improve the conversation around men’s mental wellbeing.
They offer a ranger of social, holistic and traditional forms of support in an effort to approach the subject matter in a more relaxed and judgement-free space.
As part of that approach, ‘Mandem Meetup’ are bringing a chin-up bar to Old Trafford and our fans are encouraged to take part in the challenge.
Good luck to anyone who steps up!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Our fans can also engage with the Salford-based charity ‘Talk About It Mate’ on the East Stand forecourt from 14:00 BST this Saturday.
They are a peer-support community where people can connect, share and learn from each other.
Events by 'Talk About It Mate' provide a comfortable and welcoming safe-space for members of the community to interact without judgement and take steps towards personal growth.
