Manchester United defender Millie Turner has been called up by England for the two UEFA Women’s Nations League fixtures against the Netherlands and Scotland.

Our centre-back will report with the rest of the Lionesses squad at St. George's Park on Monday 27 November after previously being included in senior squads. Turner has been capped for her nation's Under-19s and Under-23s.

Sarina Wiegman's side will face the Netherlands at Wembley Stadium on Friday 1 December before the Nations League group stage concludes with a trip to Scotland on Tuesday 5 December.

Turner has started every one of our seven matches in the Women's Super League so far in 2023/24 and been a near ever-present in Marc Skinner's XI since returning from a long-term injury absence at the beginning of last season.

Our no.21 helped the Reds keep more clean sheets and concede fewer goals than any other WSL side last term, and has recently showed her scoring touch too, netting a brilliant solo goal in the Reds' 5-0 victory against West Ham earlier this month.

Millie will be joined by club team-mates Mary Earps, Maya Le Tissier, Katie Zelem and Ella Toone in the England group, with Wiegman naming a strong squad for the upcoming international double-header.

All the best, Millie!
