My club and my shirt

There’s nothing quite like the excitement a new season brings, and all of the other little things that come with it. Sorting out tickets with your friends and family, picking out the biggest fixtures, and seeing the new kit for the upcoming season.

Kits are more than just kits, we know that. They’re a symbol of support and passion, a fashion statement, and a representation of who you are. And especially here at Manchester United, where we’re united by the badge.

We had the pleasure of catching up with three families to see what supporting United means to them and what makes supporting the club more than just about football, but a way of life.

Bryan Robson and his family.

United legend Bryan Robson said: “United have always been a family club, from my playing days right until this day, that’s the one thing that has never changed.

“I remember taking my son to Old Trafford when he was a kid and, now, I take my grandson to United games the same way!”

See, that’s just it, that’s the beauty of this club, the support transcends generations. Life may change and people come and go, but there’s one constant, Manchester United.

Rob Fuller, a father of three and lifelong United fan, explains what the club means to him: “Cruz is my eldest child and we share this special bond that is known as Manchester United.

“Honestly, it couldn’t make me prouder, going to watch United together as a dad and daughter duo.”

One club, United together. It doesn’t matter who you are, this club is for everyone and is a unique community that means so much more than just football, it creates memories and relationships that last a lifetime.

Angeline Hannaway said: “I’m 62 and I’ve supported United all of my life. I made it my business to take everyone in our family.

“Our United love affair started with my father. Moving from Jamaica, he settled here and decided that United was his team. The rest is history!”

It’s anecdotes and stories such as these that make us different, the unwavering support and passion for this club is inspired by icons and passed down through generations, we are United, united by the badge.
