New Manchester United Women's signing Nikita Parris is looking to earmark another succesful chapter in her career, following her move from fellow WSL side Arsenal.

The 28-year-old, who enjoyed Women's Euro 2022 success with England just days ago, will link up with Marc Skinner's squad ahead of our upcoming 2022/23 campaign, bidding to add further bite to our forward line.

Having already enjoyed a decorated career at club level too, the former Manchester City striker is looking forward to beginning the new season as a Red.

''It feels unbelievable, quite surreal,'' began Nikita, when quizzed on how it feels to sign for United.

''It's been quite the summer and this now tops it off. I'm just happy to be here and I can't wait to get started.''

A member of Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses squad, the Liverpool-born forward is no stranger to fellow England, and now United, team-mates Mary Earps, Ella Toone and Alessia Russo, casting large praise the way of the Reds trio.

Parris now has the chance to line up alongside her compatriots in the WSL and hopes that she can help the team take the next step.

The England international arrives from fellow WSL side Arsenal.

''With my winning mentality in matches and in training I want to help the team move forward,'' she added. ''A lot of fourth-placed finishes and just missing out on those third spots, I now want to help the team grow.

''I'm not just the only new signing this summer so it shows the intent from the club and from Marc [Skinner] in what he wants with from the squad and how we want to push forward and aim for those top spots.''

Another Lioness has signed for the Reds! Welcome to United, Nikita Parris...

Bidding to hit the ground running with our domestic campaign set to get under way next month, the former Arsenal forward insists making the move to United couldn't have come at a better time in her career.

''Me personally, I would like to score goals for this club and win games," she declared. "Ultimately that's the aim. I want to help the team and aid the team to grow because no one one player can win a championship, it takes the whole team.

''I can't wait to start this new chapter in my career, it's came at a really pivotal time for me and I feel like these next few years are going to be the biggest in my career and I can't wait to get started."

Parris also issued a message to United fans who will be eager to come and watch her in a Reds shirt for the first time.

"I'm looking forward to seeing you," she said. "Strap up, because it's going to be one hell of a ride!''
