Saturday 02 March 2024 15:00

Nikita Parris has been named Manchester United Women's Player of the Month for February, after winning our fan poll.

The forward was nominated on the three-player shortlist alongside midfielder Lisa Naalsund and defender Millie Turner, after a month in which the Reds played three times.

Parris netted a brace in the first of those fixtures, as we defeated Brighton 2-0 at Leigh Sports Village, before going on to lead the frontline for Marc Skinner's side away to Southampton and Arsenal.

The second of Nikita's finishes against the Seagulls was nominated for our Goal of the Month award too.

Nikita has been recognised as a trailblazer for the game from the Black community.

Key to the way United play, Parris was influential up top and continued the superb form that she has displayed throughout the campaign.

Our supporters clearly appreciate Nikita's influence, with the striker receiving a majority 64 per cent of the voting in our poll.

It is the second time the 29-year-old has won the award this term, having previously been named Player of the Month in November, after she scored six goals in as many games.

It caps a memorable week for the Reds forward, who was named on the 2023 Black List, which recognises those who have blazed a trail for the Black community in football.

Our no.22 has also been nominated for February's PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month too, and you can help her win that award by casting your vote here.

Congratulations on your latest achievement, Nikita - keep up the good work!
