Mazraoui wins Player of the Month
Congratulations to Noussair Mazraoui, who has been voted Manchester United's Player of the Month for November by you, the fans.
It's the first prize that the Morocco international has claimed at United, since his summer move from Bayern Munich.
He saw off stiff competition from Amad and Andre Onana, at the end of a month where the Reds were unbeaten in all competitions, after three games under the temporary stewardship of Ruud van Nistelrooy and a pair of fixtures with new head coach Ruben Amorim in charge.
Nous was named in the starting XI for all five games but actually played in three different positions, showcasing his dependability and versatility.
After a Man-of-the-Match performance at left-back in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, he occupied a more familiar right-back slot for the win over PAOK in the Europa League.
He then switched back to the left and helped create our second - Victor Kristiansen's own goal - in a 3-0 victory over Leicester City, as Ruud's four-match spell as interim boss came to a successful end.
Mazraoui had a productive international break with Morocco, helping them thrash Gabon 5-1 and Lesotho 7-0, before getting down to work under Amorim.
The boss deployed Nous as a right-sided centre-back and he stood out on a tough afternoon in Suffolk, as Ipswich pushed us all the way in a 1-1 draw.
But the 27-year-old saved arguably the best until last, starring in our 3-2 come-from-behind success against Bodo/Glimt and setting up the first of Rasmus Hojlund's double.
Amorim praises "future of our team"
ArticleThe head coach picked out one of our most versatile players in his press conference.
Mazraoui has shown great consistency in his short United career so far and Ruben no doubt will agree with the award win, judging by his comments on Nous in his latest press conference:
“He’s a top player, because he understands the game. He knows how to attack, he’s very technical, he’s very good defensively and he’s very good one on one.
“He’s a modern player. I think he’s the future of our team. When you think about him you think like we need more players like Nous that can control the tempo, they are really, really good and comfortable with the ball.
“They understand the game, so Nous, I’m really happy with him.”

Amad claimed the first gong, before successes for Onana and Alejandro Garnacho.
