Old Trafford ticketing update for 2026/27

Friday 06 March 2026 11:00

Manchester United is now able to share information for seasonal renewals for 2026/27, alongside updating you on some wider plans.

The club has consulted our Fans’ Advisory Board and listened to their challenges and feedback, which have helped us to shape our decisions.

SEASON TICKET PRICING

We have a clear objective to return Manchester United to the top of domestic and European football. We want to keep investing in the team and improving our facilities so fans get the best possible experience. We also need to make sure the club stays financially sustainable taking into account inflation and rising costs.

It is within this context we have made the decision to increase Season Ticket prices by around 5 per cent across all areas of Old Trafford.

This equates to just over £2 per game on average for adult Season Ticket holders, and £1 per game for under 16s.

The lowest price for an adult general admission Season Ticket at Old Trafford will be £646 – working out at £34 per match across 19 Premier League home fixtures.

Season Ticket holders won’t pay more than 1/19th of their Season Ticket price for any home match in any UEFA or domestic cup competition.
SEASON TICKET SEAT USAGE

We can confirm that our seat usage policy will remain unchanged for the 2026/27 season. This means Season Ticket holders will therefore continue to need to attend the match, forward, list for resale or donate the cost of their seat through our official channels for at least 16 out of 19 Premier League matches.

This decision follows constructive discussions with fan representatives on the Fans’ Advisory Board and wider supporter groups. We understand the challenges supporters face – particularly with our matches’ dates and timings being rearranged after selection for broadcast – and we recognise the importance of a policy that is both fair and flexible.

We are encouraged that the vast majority of Season Ticket holders are on course to meet their usage threshold this season, and Old Trafford and the team continue to benefit from a strong attendance and a vibrant atmosphere with very few empty seats.

We thank our Season Ticket holders for their loyal support.
TRANSFERRING AND SELLING TICKETS

We know our Season Ticket holders value the flexibility and choice we provide through our resale and forwarding options and we will continue to offer these with no increase to current charges for supporters. As a reminder, fans are not charged unless a ticket is listed for resale within two weeks of the fixture.

We are proud to retain the option of donating the cost of tickets to the Manchester United Foundation. Since this was introduced, £2million has been raised for our Foundation, helping young people in our local community feel safe, happy and empowered to fulfil their ambitions. We thank our fans for their generous donations.

IMPROVING TRANSPARENCY

Ticketing is a topic fans are passionate about, and we understand the call for more transparency on ballots and allocations. Following discussions with our Fans’ Advisory Board and Fans’ Forum, we will reintroduce the publication of ticketing data on the club website from next season. We will work with the Fans’ Forum and Ticketing Sub-Group to agree specific details and the timing of publication.
TICKET COLLECTIONS FOR EUROPEAN AWAY FIXTURES

We understand that European ticket collections are important to the integrity of the credit system, and we have agreed to reintroduce collections for as many European away games as possible from next season, should we qualify. We will work with our Fans’ Advisory Board and Fans’ Forum to review the collection operation to ensure it is as efficient as possible for travelling fans.

CONCESSIONS

We can confirm that all our current concessions for general admission season tickets will remain in place. This means that the following will be the lowest concessionary prices in each category next season:

Under 16s = £12 (family area)
16-17-year-olds = £17
18-20-year-olds = £25.50
Over 66-year-olds = £25.50

This is part of our commitment to ensuring matches remain accessible to our next generation of supporters.

We will also retain the 25% discount for senior season ticket holders (66+), with discount applied at the point of sale.

OFFICIAL SUPPORTERS’ CLUBS

We are maintaining a dedicated allocation of 1,000 tickets per home game for our global network of official supporters’ clubs, ensuring fans around the world have the opportunity to watch us at Old Trafford.

TACKLING TOUTING: GETTING TICKETS IN THE HANDS OF OUR MEMBERS

We remain committed to putting more tickets in the hands of our members. We continue to take strong action against touting, investing heavily in anti-touting measures.

A review of our sanctions policy is also underway, with the ambition to ensure it is effective, fair and transparent.
MATCH-BY-MATCH TICKETING

We will confirm details relating to match-by-match ticketing when the fixtures for season 2026/27 are published in June.

We will communicate directly with all Season Ticket holders and Seasonal Hospitality members to confirm their personal renewal information for the forthcoming season.

THANK YOU

We thank our supporters for their continued support, and we thank the Fans’ Advisory Board for their robust challenge and frank feedback in our consultation with them on this topic in recent weeks.
