Will Elanga go on loan or stay at United?

Manchester United fans could see more of Anthony Elanga in the first team this season after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed he has been impressed with the young striker and may keep him as part of the squad, rather than send him out on loan.

The Sweden-born forward made his Reds debut against Leicester City on 11 May last season, before netting his first senior goal in the final league match of the campaign, away to Wolves.

Elanga has been part of the pre-season training squad thus far and grabbed United a fine consolation goal in our 4-2 friendly defeat at QPR.

Asked whether Elanga may go on loan or be part of the squad this season, Ole told reporters: "It would be easy to say the boy should go on loan, but he's doing so well.

"He's electric, his pace, his skill, he's not afraid of anything and he's got the courage and the bravery of a Man United player and today he created chances for others and himself, and scored a good goal with his most difficult opportunity.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he was staying here. It depends, we know it's important for him to develop and get game-time, at the moment he's one of them we've not really decided on.

"If he keeps on like he is I might want to keep him."
