Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is one of four nominees for the Barclays Manager of the Month award for April 2021.

The Norwegian is up for the official Premier League prize after a month in which the Reds won three of our four top-flight games, with the goalless draw at Leeds the only minor blip as we consolidated second place in the table.

April started with a home win over Brighton, with goals from Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwoodwho has been nominated for Player of the Month – helping us recover from a half-time deficit to beat the Seagulls 2-1.

A week later and another turnaround was required as Fred, Edinson Cavani and Greenwood struck after the break to give us an uplifting 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on their home patch.

The final victory of the month involved more magic from Greenwood, as he scored twice to help see off Burnley, with Cavani putting some late gloss on another 3-1 scoreline.

United accrued more Premier League points (10) than any other side in April, earning Ole his second consecutive nomination as he looks to claim the accolade for the first time since January 2019, when he was still caretaker manager.

Solskjaer is up against Marcelo Bielsa, of Leeds, and former Red Steve Bruce, of Newcastle, both of whom picked up two wins and two draws during April.

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce rounds out the nominations, after a month in which the Baggies kept their slim survival hopes alive with big wins over Chelsea and Southampton.
