Ole's Villarreal briefing details confirmed
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's press conference to preview the Champions League tie with Villarreal will be held on Tuesday afternoon.
The boss will provide an update on his plans for the visit of the Yellow Submarine to Old Trafford for the 20:00 BST kick-off as the Reds look to get points on the board following the opening Group F defeat to Young Boys.
The briefing is to take place at 13:30 BST and we will cover it live on MUTV, the Official App and ManUtd.com.
What's happening this week at United?
ArticleHere's the full breakdown of a week consisting of six games, press conferences, key anniversaries and more.
The media conference is due to take place after an open training session in front of photographers at Carrington at 11:00 BST.
On the same day, Villarreal coach Unai Emery will address the press from Spain at 13:00 local time, midday in the UK. The visitors have doubts over Juan Foyth, Samuel Chukweueze, Daniel Raba and Gerard Moreno going into the game, while Francis Coquelin is suspended (as is United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka).
United are determined to bounce back after consecutive 1-0 defeats at Old Trafford, to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup and Aston Villa in the Premier League, and will be out to beat Villarreal for the first time in our history - there have been five draws and the Spanish side won the penalty shoot-out in last term's Europa League final.
Emery's men are also draw specialists at the moment after the fifth of these in their first six La Liga matches came when holding Real Madrid to a 0-0 stalemate at the Bernabeu at the weekend.
The other game in the group will have finished by the time the teams come out at Old Trafford.
Atalanta are at home to Young Boys in a 17:45 BST kick-off in Bergamo.
Villarreal and Atalanta drew 2-2 in their opening fixture.
